How the ladder, team chemistry and card skills work.

Ladder

Every club starts at 1,000 points. Ladder games move points up or down: beating a stronger club earns more, losing to a weaker one costs more, up to 32 a game.

Moving up
Reach the next tier's points with enough owned collectibles in your lineup. Short on collectibles? You hold just below the line until you field them.
Moving down
Fall 50 points below your tier's line and you drop a tier.
Games and tickets
10 ladder games a day are free; after that each costs 2 tickets, up to 50 a day. A win earns 3 tickets, a loss or tie 1. New clubs start with 10.
Defending
While you're away, your lineup defends when other clubs challenge it. Points move either way, and each defending win earns 1 ticket (up to 20 a day).
Seasons
A season is a calendar month. When a new one starts, your points move halfway back toward your tier's line (Rookie: 1,000).

Team chemistry

Starters whose cards share a theme boost each other's skills for the whole game. Bonuses add up, to at most +10 per skill.

Theme stack

Two or more starters of one theme raise that theme's two skills for every starter.

From card to ballplayer

Every card's ten feelings and its rating become 24 baseball skills. Each skill uses one primary feeling (75%) and one supporting feeling (25%). Power comes from Brave and Heart; range from Grow and Share. Strong and weak feelings create different jobs for each player.

Card front
Same card: baseball strengths
Same card: position fit
Same card: full baseball stats

The formula

Skill = (blend of feelings) × (0.7 + 0.3 × rating / 100) + 0.15 × rating, kept between 1 and 100

Kesuhi Blush 74 · power

Blend = Brave 100 × 75% + Heart 74 × 25%= 93.5

93.5 × (0.7 + 0.3 × 74 / 100) + 0.15 × 74 = 93.5 × 0.922 + 11.1 = 97

A position for every strength

First base rewards hands and catching. Second base favors reactions and hands; shortstop needs range and accurate throws; third base favors reactions and arm strength. Left field favors catching, center field needs speed and range, and right field rewards a strong, accurate arm. Catchers need receiving and throwing skills; pitchers need control, velocity and movement. These skills affect reaching the ball, catching it and completing the throw in the game.

What feeds each skill

Each skill shows how much comes from each feeling. The darker the cell, the more it counts; the biggest share is outlined.

Cards play like real ballplayers

Every MONMONMON card is a ballplayer. A high-rated card with the right feelings pitches like an ace or hits like a slugger; a low-rated one has a rough season. Here are real players from legend to slump, each beside the house card whose skills come closest.
